This project was crafted on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation, the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, and the Wiradjuri people of the Wiradjuri nation.
We pay our respects to their elders past and present. Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

You are encouraged to explore, place a building, or leave a message, and return here later to maintain it — these structures eventually become irreparable if left abandoned.
HYPER//ECHO is a web-based “zone” where players are invited to explore the virtual space, and leave something behind — buildings and messages for other players to discover. Over the course of the 3-month exhibition, these structures gradually decay; buildings become overgrown ruins, messages become unreadable.
You can read about the philosophy behind the game here.
We are all members of FIREPIT, a weird videogames and digital art collective based in Melbourne, Australia. We're a community of creative folks who like to hang out, IRL or online.
